We've assembled some of our favorite resources for reading The Wind in the Willows. They're intended to complement our Read-Aloud Poster for the book, but they would also enhance your reading of the book without a poster.

Character Markers

Our Read-Aloud Poster for The Wind in the Willows is formatted as a story-board, meaning that many of the books' settings are included as illustrations on the poster. For younger listeners, it can be fun (and helpful!) to create character markers to move around the poster to reflect the movement of the characters in the book.

You can make character markers out of anything from Lego minifigures to peg dolls. Choose a type of character marker that lives at the intersection of "things that my kids are excited about" and "things that I have the energy for." Here's a video we made to show some of our favorite options.
